Billy's Gift, Inc.

Billy’s Gift, Inc. is an organization I am extremely passionate about.  The organization was founded by my family in the honor of my brother Billy.  Billy was diagnosed with T-cell Luekemia at the young age of 5. Unfortunately, I was never able to meet my brother, his battle with cancer ended just before I was born. None the less, his memory lives strong in my mother, father, and older sister. When my mom presented the idea of Billy’s Gift I was excited about the opportunity to help my mother honor my brother Billy and bring joy to children living with life threatening illnesses. 

The organization was established in March 2010 with a mission to provide children living with life threatening or life altering illnesses a dream bedroom renovation or celebration that is designed to meet the specific needs of each child.  We at Billy’s Gift, Inc. recognize the daily obstacles a family whose child has been diagnosed with a life threatening illness encounter and wish to provide a celebration or special space that allows the child to enjoy being a child.   

Thanks to the support of our local community Billy’s Gift was able to complete its first bedroom renovation in June 2012.  It has been a tremendously rewarding experience.  I am so thrilled to be part of an organization that brings joy to families and children in our local community.
