Last weekend I broke my 20 day unintentional shopping
ban. Yes! I said UNINTENTIONAL shopping
ban. It didn’t even occur to me that I hadn’t
shopped for the entire month until my friend asked if I had purchased new
clothes this year. I hesitated as I realized
I hadn’t bought a single item. To think
last year my resolution was a 30 day shopping ban and I failed on day 5!!
For approximately 2.5 seconds, I thought about challenging
myself to another 30 day shopping ban.
It seemed logical seeing that I was already 20 days in. Of course, when I physically set my mind to no
shopping, I fail. I would like to mention, that even though I failed
tremendously, I wasn’t mindlessly spending. This
weekend I splurged on the necessities like a new pair of black pumps, 3 new
bras, and a haircut. So I apologize if some of my readers are uncomfortable with where this post goes from here but it has to be said…I could not be more happy with my first purchases of 2014 specifically the haircut and new undergarments. Let me tell you what, there are few things better than a brand new bra. It makes you feel like a completely new woman. Life seems easier when things are properly supported, lifted, and perky. Am I right? Then add a fresh do to the mix and I’m completely unstoppable. (insert wink!)
P.S. These photos were obviously taken prior to getting my haircut.
Happy Friday, Dolls!
I feel it doesn't count if you bought essentials, and the hair cut doesn't count at all because it isn't shopping - it was a service. So I do not consider your ban broken :) Have a great weekend!
