Day to Night

It's finally Thursday! I usually try not to wish away my weeks but this week was painfully long.  I'm so excited for the weekend to be upon us.

Choosing an outfit fitting for all of Friday's events can be a difficult task. Especially, when the daily grind is followed by happy hour!!! (pour me a martini, please!)  I always struggle with the decision of whether to bring a change of clothes or just rock my business attire.  That being said, we all know how comfortable office attire can be after 8 long hours. And lugging around an overnight bag for office happy hour seems like over kill.

I've found that the easiest solution to this fashion dilemma  is to select an outfit that can easily be transitioned into night. The easiest way to transition an outfit from day to night? The law of multiples, of course!

If I'm wearing a grey skirt, I'll switch it out for grey pants.  Carrying a blush tote, switch it out for a similar color clutch.  Let's not forget about the shoes!!

Polka dot blouse-Loft (old) love this version (here)

Blush Coat- Target (sold out in blush) (here)

Leather Peplum-Random, similar (here)

  1. Just found your blog and think you have truly classic, lovely style. The rose and leather combo here caught my eye immediately as they are two of my favorite things. Beautiful!

  6. That jacket was from Target? I'm so sad that I missed it, considering how big of a trend blush was this winter. I love how trendy yet office-appropriate you manage to look.

    1. Yes, it's from Target. I couldn't believe it myself. I've looked online for it so I could share it but have been completely unsuccessful. I'm so glad I purchased it when I did. Thank you for your sweet comments. That leather peplum isy favorite way to leather.
